An Irish company, Steorn, today began public demonstrations of an ‘over-unity’ device powered by rotating magnets.

Developed over a six year period, the Orbo technology provides a new energy source to power electrical devices and cars. It is claimed to produce more energy than it consumes at a ratio of 3:1, which has led to considerable skepticism from the scientific community.

In a Press Release, Steorn announced a six week period for public examination and evaluation in Dublin Ireland from December 15 to January 31, 2010. Plans exist to develop the Orbo technology for commercial production and distribution.

If the Orbo technology demonstration is successful, it will revolutionize the energy industry and make it possible for fossil fuel production to end within a decade or two. 193 national leaders are currently seeking ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions during the UN Climate conference in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Orbo technology, if viable, offers an easy affordable solution to increased global energy demand while significantly reducing global greenhouse gas emissions.

In its Press Release Steorn announced:

Orbo technology, which has been in development for six years, provides free, clean and constant energy at the point of use. It can be engineered to power anything from a phone to a fridge to a car. It is controversial because it is an "over-unity" technology, meaning that it produces more energy than it consumes without the degradation of its constituent parts.

This is an apparent violation of the Law of Conservation of Energy, which states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. The implications, not just for energy production but for society as a whole, are profound.

The public demonstrations are being streamed live.

According to Sean McCarthy, Steorn CEO,

"At the end of the six week demonstration period, developers will be able to access our technology and start the process of developing Orbo technology-powered products."

The Orbo technology is not the first time that an over-unity device has been invented and presented for public examination and inspection.

The first over-unity system was developed and publicly tested by Dr T. Henry Moray. Dr Moray was an electrical engineer who developed some of Nikola Tesla’s ideas found in his 1901 Radiant Energy patent.

Dr Moray developed and publicly tested his first functional new energy device that was able to draw energy from the environment.

He successfully demonstrated his energy machine to many scientists and engineers who acknowledged that it genuinely worked and no fraud was involved. However, they could not understand why it worked. Moray’s device was then dismissed a priori since it appeared to violate conservation of energy laws. A long line of inventors have since come forward to demonstrate similar over-unity technologies, but again these have been dismissed a priori by most scientists as perpetual motion machines.

Unfortunately, the main stumbling blocks have been rigid scientific thinking concerning violation of conservation of energy laws, and powerful oil energy interests opposed to over-unity devices being seriously investigated.

Ever since Dr Henry Moray, a succession of over-unity devices have been developed. Scientific skepticism combined with claims of harassment by inventors has made it very difficult for over-unity devices to come to the attention of the general public, or to be considered for commercial production and distribution.

Steorn’s six week public demonstration offers the scientific community and general public a first hand opportunity to learn of the practical feasibility of over-unity devices, even though they theoretically violate energy conservation laws.

Steorn’s public demonstration comes in the midst of the United Nations Climate Change Conference being held from December 7 to 18. On December 14, Al Gore addressed the UN Climate conference and discussed the inconvenient truth of climate change.

Unfortunately, he exaggerated the rate of polar ice cap reduction which has led to more controversy over climate change.

President Obama is scheduled to address the Conference on December 18, and is expected to commit the US to a greenhouse gas reduction target by 2020. If successfully demonstrated, the Orbo technology offers a means for President Obama and other national leaders easily meeting increased energy demands while protecting the global environment.

As 193 national leaders seek ways to reduce greenhouse emissions over the next decade, through complicated carbon cap and trade deals, they would benefit greatly from understanding the practical feasibility of over-unity devices. The Orbo technology demonstration is a bold challenge to rigid scientific orthodoxy and vested oil industry interests.

Here's to the luck of the Irish holding out in the commercial development and distribution of its over-unity device!
